Welcome to the wonderful world of
Cubbies! Cubbies is a Bible based, two-year preschool program. Cubbies meet on
Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Our goal at Cubbies is to assist and
encourage you with the spiritual nurturing of your child. This is a joint effort!

The main segments of a typical evening
are: Coming In Time games, toys or movies Starting time which
includes the opening ceremony, action songs, a puppet show & prayer. Story
Time bible story relating to the bear hug verse. Book Time recite the verse that they
learned @ home, color or craft. Snack Time cubbies eat snack & watch
a movie. Going Home Time Parents
pick up cubbies between 8:15 and 8:30
Your child will get a Bear Hug Brochure next week…work for 2 wks in it
You will want to purchase the Hopper Celebrations Handbook ($10.00)
and the Cubbies uniform vest ($15) as soon as the cubbie complete the brochure.
(will have them for sale @ drop off / pick up)
The handbook will last your child the
entire year (24 Bear Hugs and 3 Special Days) and the vest can be used for the two years in Cubbies (get one that the Cubbie can grow in :>)).
Parents, we could use your help and so
could your Cubbie! In each Bear Hug, there is a make believe story and a Bible
truth for you to work on with your child. There is also a place for the parent’s
signature. (Please review and sign off weekly). Add patches to vests (I will remind you).
There is a section called Under the
Apple Tree….this is an extra credit
section. Its a very helpful section that reinforces the Bear Hug.

Days: Thanksgiving (T&T spends night with Cubbies), Christmas (book exchange) and Easter

There is a sailboat event on Oct 10h. Boats on sale week of 9/12/12 thru 10/3/12 for $6.
Costume Bash night (Oct 31) No books!
There is a movie drive in night (March
6)
Veggie Tales Night ….dress up like
favorite veggie tale character
end of year party (week before awards night)

award nights (all clubs same night May
29) Final Night for year collect special offering for Adopt A Club (Cuba)
Weekly
dues $1 also any contribution is welcome for our
Awana Missionary (dimes, quarters, nickles).
I will send out weekly e-mails about
upcoming events & the Bear Hug that is due for the week.
Please help your child remember their
handbook, vest and offering/dues each meeting.

It is my desire to join efforts with
you as you actively participate in your child’s spiritual development. Remember
you are very important to us and always welcome at Cubbies.

Join
with us in prayer that God will use this year to impact our children for
Christ and that they will always "hide" His Words in their hearts.
